Peer Review

When presenting my magazine to my peers I got many types of feedback along with many new ideas to help me perfect my magazine. Throughout they seemed to love my picture choices especially my cover picture that I had with the three girls all next to each other and I changed that color and tone of that photo to be black and white but there was also many room for improvement and I am willing to work on that.

For the cover page it was suggested that I make smaller text on the title page pop out more and the use of a copper color was to be put into effect to make it do so and the place where I have "what to expect in the fashion industry worldwide" on the upper right hand corner was suggested to be moved under the lining of the girl on the far right's shirt. Another good suggestion was to put all the text in red which was all the stuff that was under my masthead and place them on the bottom of the magazine so I have more room to show the background image, they also commented in how instead of having "Fashion Essentials" on the bottom left corner that I should move that up and continue to add in the bronze/copper color because it'll match well with my theme and make it pop out more. A good compliment that I received was that it looked like a young "VOGUE" but in order for it to continue on like that I should make it like that for the rest of my magazine and not just the cover. Lastly, it was inquired that I put the countries that they're from on the cover so that people understand that this is a way of showing a travel fashion guide and they can have a specific example. I plan on implementing all of the styles that I was suggested and put a little of my personality into it so it can be a product that others and myself enjoy.

For the content page, I had many pictures from bags to people and one suggestion was that instead of putting all those pictures spread apart on the content page was to take the picture of one of the models that was professionally taken on my camera and have her be the entire background and pull everything to the front. I was also told that I should put numbers on the photos for the content page that line up with the feature article because I still plan on putting more photos in the content page but in order to do that it has to match the feature article and you will be able to tell with the page numbers. Another good thing was that I should put pictures of men's fashion and not just include girls and some things I plan on putting there are things like shoes, cars, etc.

For my feature article I have a ton of work that I need to redecide and thanks to my peers I now have many new minds and suggestions on what I should do. For example, in my magazine I had it laid out as 2 girl interviews on page 3 and 2 boy interviews on page 4 but, now I am going to be showcasing them in boy, girl order so I am going to put 1 boy and 1 girl interview on page 3 and another one on page 4 so people can see both aspects from different countries. I am also going to make the words line up with the pictures which is something I had an issue with but I am able to fix along with making boarders around the pages so it brings life to the magazine. Lastly, they feel as if I should lose "Intake of " for my feature article which is entirely fine with me because then I have more space to make boarders and make room for more of the interviews and instead I am going to implement "Thoughts from" so it's more subtle and I considered that a great suggestion. I have a lot to improve in some areas but none of it is impossible and with the thoughts from others I have the right idea where I am going to take my magazine.
